Ever heard of artistic serenity? Yeah, that’s what I was looking for. Cultural ancestral inspiration into my soul, to forge on. Initially it was just a trip to a national park, and ended up being diverted to a full vacay. An unexpected adventure.

This was my second time traveling through the Balkans, a region I absolutely love. After exploring Albania, I continued my journey to Ohrid, North Macedonia, to discover one of the oldest lakes in Europe and experience this beautiful part of the Balkans.

My husband and I went on a delayed honeymoon here and made it a trip down the Portuguese coast to surf, relax, and be in the warmth coming out of Scottish winter!
