Golf trip with a friend who is from Ireland. Golfed with people he grew up with. Finished the trip with a week in Spain enjoying Mediterranean beaches and Spanish food.
First solo trip. I had always wanted to do a backpacking trip and an interrail sounded the perfect combination! The destinations were based on transport convenience, and since I have never been to any of the chosen destinations, I didn’t mind where to go.
Portugal is one of the coastal European cities I have always wanted to visit. It is a vibrant city filled with unique culture and interesting attractions. The slower pace of this location compared to that of the larger European cities was an attractive feature for me choosing this destination.
My boyfriend and I were backpacking through Eastern Europe and had heard this was a great place to visit. We had also heard there was a great through-hike to do, so that’s what we were really looking forward to.
We traveled to Porto, Portugal on our four month trip through Europe. It ended up being one of our favorite cities in Europe, if not the world!
I travelled to this destination because I was set to study abroad in Rome for the fall semester. I arrived alone and spent the first two weeks solo wandering the city and its different districts. Rome is one of the largest cities (area and population wise) in all of Europe, so there was lots to do and see!
My first trip to Europe was with my Dad as a high school graduation trip. London was our first stop!
I was traveling in Europe and the cheapest flight from Dublin to anywhere was Budapest. God bless Ryanair. I knew absolutely nothing at the destination. This excited me.
We decided to try something different for our couple’s getaway. My husband suggested Krakow, Poland. At first I was skeptical, but it ended up being my favorite city in Europe!
Because Italy, of course! My parents were meeting my family (me, my husband, and our two small children) in Europe after a business trip, and since they don't make it overseas very often, we needed somewhere epic. Also, we found good deals on flights to Milan! So, Italy was a no-brainer. We decided to rent a car, and therefore decided we just wanted to stay in the Northern part of Italy, to avoid long car trips with two kids.
My 14 year-old daughter and I were excited to take a mother-daughter trip to Europe. We chose London, Paris and Rome for the amazing site-seeing, culture, history and of course the food!
As Europeans, we've always dreamed of visiting Hawaii Islands, once for being famous to be a paradisiac place, but also for being far away and unreachable. The three of us are young professionals and adventurers by heart. So, we decided we want to see Maui, but as low-budget and as adventurously as possible. We challenged ourselves to get there and we finally did it this summer.
It was my dream country since I was a child. My love for their language and animation culture was a big part of my childhood hobbies. The trip was planned at the start of the pandemic when many Asian countries were affected but had not yet reached Europe. Luckily, I decided to go!
We started our Italy trip in Rome and knew we wanted to explore the south of Italy. Our plan was to make it all the way around the boot and then end in Sicily, a place my boyfriend has wanted to see for a while. We ended up skipping most of the boot because there was a really easy overnight ferry from Naples to Palermo.
I have gone to Munich a few times with family and while abroad for Oktoberfest and was in Berlin visiting my cousin.
