Arrive in Costa Rica

Upon arrival at San Jose International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our local team for a quick 10-15 minute drive to your first hotel conveniently located near the airport. 

Check in at our welcoming, woman-owned hotel, a place that blends convenience, comfort, and delicious high-end dining. Take a moment to unwind and explore the vibrant surroundings.

At 7:00 PM, the group will come together for our Welcome Dinner at the woman-owned restaurant on the hotel property. This first evening offers a delightful introduction to Costa Rica and a chance to meet your fellow travelers.

Visit An Active Volcano

Start your incredible experience in Costa Rica with a stunning road trip through the country side into the mountains.  You and your fellow travelers will be picked up after breakfast to drive through the mountains towards the tallest active volcano in Costa Rica at over 11,000 feet. Walk on top of the volcano and gaze down into multiple volcanic craters. 

End the day in the serene jungle valley floor at our 4-star category hotel. Cheers to the evening with an optional mixology class* taught by an expert bartender.

Today is your next opportunity to choose how you want to immerse yourself further in the natural surroundings of Costa Rica. Choose from the included adventure excursions, a waterfall hike and swim or tube down the famous Pejibaye River.

Relaxing Day in the Central Valley Oasis

Start the day with a guided yoga class and sun salutations. Today is yours to choose how you would like to spend it. Enjoy time by the pool, book a massage at the hotel spa, take a hike in the area nearby, or visit the botanical gardens. Cherish has also curated some add-on experiences to enhance your day. Take an afternoon guided horseback riding tour* or enjoy a SUP paddle boarding class* before sunset. 

End the day by rejoining the group for a traditional Costa Rican cooking class taught by an executive chef.

The History of Chocolate is Female!

Chocolate becomes even more special when you know the history, where it comes from, and how it's made. During our group immersive experience you will learn all of these things and discover how the history of chocolate is female. Participate in a sacred chocolate ceremony and an educational farm tour at this husband and wife owned farm. 

After returning to the hotel after the chocolate experience, close out your immersive vacation with a final send off dinner.

Please note: Our team is coordinating two designated departures for each destination to easefully return you to the airport in time for your flight.

Cherish has planned a wonderful opportunity to visit the coast with all of the details coordinated and handled on your behalf. Stay beachside right on Jaco beach for 3 additional nights before your departure. 

Included in the extension is transportation from Turrialba, your accommodations, daily breakfast, and one curated beach excursion.
