Two-Night Escape to Victoria, BC

We set sail from Seattle aboard the Victoria Clipper! This is the most comfortable and convenient way to travel between Seattle and Victoria. You can park near the terminal and travel car-free! We arrived around 11am and walked across the street to the Empress Hotel to have their iconic afternoon tea for lunch. Then we took a shuttle from the hotel out to the Butchart Gardens. This is Victoria's most famous attraction and must-see. Butchart gardeners plant over 300,000 bulbs per year. We took the shuttle back to downtown and enjoyed a great dinner at the Courtney Room, named one of Victoria's best restaurants in 2024.

Vancouver Island is an up & coming wine region--we took our tour with Island Time and especially loved Blue Grouse winery--the Charm de L'Ile sparkling white is highly recommended! We got back in time for boutique shopping. Check out The Latest Scoop for cute dresses and the Victoria Creams at Roger's Chocolates. For dinner, we caught a cab to Janevca at Rosemead House. Not only is the food great but the decor is over-the-top romantic.

After a great breakfast at the Inn at Laurel Point, we took in the latest exhibits at the Royal British Columbia Museum and the beautifully preserved Edith Carr House. After a stroll through Beacon Hill Park, we had just enough time for a cocktail and snack on the Empress's veranda before hopping back on the Clipper and heading home.
