We arrived in Tangier and checked in Mimi Calpe--a historic 19th-century boutique guesthouse. Mimi Calpe is a gorgeous property with a bohemian vibe. (Note: Not for travelers with mobility concerns--many steps, no bannisters.)
We explored the medina, including the Kasbah art museum and had dinner Villa Marbouka's L'Orangerie (highly recommended!)
I’ve been to London several times and have always wanted to tour Hampton Court Palace—a piece of historic architecture that combines medieval and baroque styles, numerous gardens, and a royal tennis pavilion that still welcomes local players. However, with Hampton Court being somewhat removed from central London, we failed in two previous attempts to visit the site. On a recent trip to Morocco, we had a two-day layover in London, so we thought we’d give it one more try!
Victoria is a great easy getaway from Seattle. It has the most restaurants per capita of any city in Canada and is within a short drive of the world-renowned Butchart Gardens.
