Sometimes you just need to get away to the beach. A nice beach. Lots of them, in fact. Given the Dominican Republic's relative proximity to the US, combined with affordable accommodations and a wealth of the aforementioned beaches, our travel group chose the Samana' Peninsula as a base of operations for a relaxing beach vacation.
Playa Rincon was truly better than I had been hoping.Same with Cayo Levantado, which truly took my breath away.
After spending a night in overly-touristy Punta Cana, we rented a vehicle and began the long (6 hours total) trek to Las Galeras, at the tip of the Samana' Peninsula. Along the way we took a refreshing break at Salta Socoa - a gushing waterfall nestled in the lush mountainous interior of the country.
That evening we checked in to our Airbnb - Villa Rincon, mere steps away from lovely Playa Colorado.
A visit to India is a feather in any traveler's cap. Our group went in search of fascinating culture, food and architecture and we did not leave disappointed.
Our motives in traveling to Rio and the Costa Verde were to enjoy some beach vibes and colonial charm. Plus, the opportunity to see famous harbor of Rio de Janeiro and its world-famous beaches was a strong incentive as well.
As Europeans, we've always dreamed of visiting Hawaii Islands, once for being famous to be a paradisiac place, but also for being far away and unreachable. The three of us are young professionals and adventurers by heart. So, we decided we want to see Maui, but as low-budget and as adventurously as possible. We challenged ourselves to get there and we finally did it this summer.
We started our Italy trip in Rome and knew we wanted to explore the south of Italy. Our plan was to make it all the way around the boot and then end in Sicily, a place my boyfriend has wanted to see for a while. We ended up skipping most of the boot because there was a really easy overnight ferry from Naples to Palermo. So off to Sicily we went!
We chose to travel to the Dominican Republic because it offered the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure in a destination neither my husband nor I had visited before. The country’s reputation for stunning beaches, warm hospitality, and incredible all-inclusive resorts made it an easy choice for our honeymoon. We wanted a location where we could truly unwind, enjoy luxurious amenities, and experience a new culture together—and the Dominican Republic exceeded all our expectations.
