Day 1

We spent most of the day travelling, but arriving in Mykonos in the evening felt instantly exciting. After settling in, we headed into the centre of Mykonos Town for dinner and wandered through the busy little streets as the island came alive at night. The town had such a fun atmosphere, with whitewashed buildings, glowing shopfronts, music coming from every corner, and people still heading out late into the evening. After dinner, we found an amazing bar right on the ocean, with tables almost beside the water and the sound of the waves underneath the music. The whole waterfront was full of places to eat, drink, and explore, and everything stayed open so late that it felt like the night was only just beginning.

Day 2

Our second day was the perfect relaxed Mykonos day. We started with brunch, then spent the day by the beach soaking up the sun, swimming, and enjoying the clear blue water. Later, we walked around Mykonos Town and explored the beautiful white streets, little staircases, blue doors, balconies, and hidden corners that make the island so photogenic. Everywhere felt bright, clean, and full of character, with gorgeous architecture and little boutiques tucked into the winding lanes. In the evening, we went to Scorpios Mykonos, the famous beach club near Soho Roc House. It had such a cool sunset-into-night atmosphere, with music, dancing, drinks, and that effortless Mykonos beach club energy.

Day 3

On our final day, we spent lots of time shopping and exploring more of the town. Mykonos was full of beautiful jewellery shops, little boutiques, handmade pieces, and unique finds, and the prices were much better than we expected. We picked up some lovely jewellery (at a store called Kallos) and enjoyed browsing without feeling rushed. Everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming, from shop owners to restaurant staff, which made the whole day feel relaxed and easy. It was the perfect way to end the trip: wandering through the streets, finding little treasures, and soaking up the last bit of Mykonos before leaving.

Anything you would add or do differently?

  • Nothing! Highly recommend June as it's such nice weather, but not too crowded yet! The locals told us that July and August are way too crowded to enjoy the beautiful streets and beaches.
