Summer family trip to Italy
Sedona is suuuuch a magical place! For me, Sedona feels like Eden: a true Heaven on Earth.
Whenever I need rest and rejuvenation in nature, I always venture to Sedona to recharge.
I had a long layover in Seattle and wanted to get out and explore.
This was our first official stop when we began full time traveling!
Pleasure trip
I chose a weekend getaway in these three locations because Portugal is in close proximity to Spain, and my best friend and I wanted to do a little trip together. We chose to see Lisbon as it is a city destination where we know a few other students studying abroad, and I recommended Sintra as I went there a few years back and absolutely adored it. Nazaré is a bucket list place that I've always wanted to visit to see the world-famous surfing waves and picturesque cliffs. Portugal isn't too big so we could hop around from place to place.
Big Cedar Lodge is America's Premier Wilderness Luxury Resort, and it lives up to it's name! We return here year after year to enjoy Winter/Spring in the Ozarks! Big Cedar Lodge has endless activities, many top-tier restaurants and a lovely spa, just to name a few of the perks!
When we started planning our honeymoon, we knew we wanted something intimate, scenic, and full of memories we’d carry forever. Waterton Lakes National Park sounded like the perfect spot—and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint. Every day felt like stepping into a dreamy postcard.
On my trip to Thailand, I had a layover both ways in Beijing! Before travelling, I told my partner "I really wish we had more time in Beijing to visit The Great Wall of China" but it wasn't possible. Well, when we were already in Thailand we received an email to say our flight home had been changed. We actually now had a 24 hour layover in Beijing! So I think I manifested this one🤭
I traveled to Chiang Mai with my friends to experience its mix of culture, nature, and cozy cafés — the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.
When Sapa suddenly blew up on social media — with misty mountains, cable cars disappearing into the clouds, and people calling it the “Europe of Asia” — it instantly made its way to our travel bucket list. So when seat sales and matching schedules finally aligned, we packed our sweaters, booked our Klook tickets, and set off for a five-day Northern Vietnam adventure — chasing mountain views, cozy weather, and bowls of steaming pho.
When a dear friend and a fellow lover of Mexico confessed he’d never ventured to Baja (let alone Valle de Guadalupe), my mission was clear. I had to make our one day in Valle de Guadalupe unforgettable.
I chose Copenhagen for a quick 3-day escape because it’s the perfect blend of cozy Scandinavian charm and easy walkability. I’d always heard about its colorful streets, relaxed atmosphere, and bike-first lifestyle, and I wanted a destination where I could slow down, explore beautiful neighborhoods on foot, and enjoy great food without rushing. Copenhagen felt like the ideal city for a short but refreshing adventure—and it absolutely delivered.
I traveled to Turkey for something deeper than just sightseeing — I went to reconnect. Months earlier, during an Erasmus program in Bansko, I met a wonderful group of Turkish friends who instantly made me feel welcome, understood, and supported. Our connection was effortless, and when they invited me to visit them in Ankara, I knew I had to go.
I traveled to Turkey because I wanted to experience their culture through their eyes — the food they love, the places they cherish, the everyday life they wanted to share with me. It wasn’t about checking tourist attractions off a list; it was about friendship, hospitality, and seeing a country in the most authentic way possible.
I also wanted a change of scenery — a burst of color, warmth, and adventure after months of routine. Turkey offered all of that. From the vibrant bazaars and beautiful parks to the spontaneous nights filled with music and laughter, I found myself absorbing every moment.
Most of all, I traveled to Turkey because I knew it would be meaningful. And it was. It turned into a trip filled with unforgettable memories, delicious food, heartfelt conversations, and the kind of cultural richness that stays with you long after you return home.
