I had been traveling solo in Spain for a month and my girlfriend was coming to visit. Barcelona sounded like the ideal destination to go with a significant other. It had beautiful art, rich food, an exciting night life, and the beach. There are enough pop songs about it that I had to visit it myself.
We chose to travel to the Dominican Republic because it offered the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure in a destination neither my husband nor I had visited before. The country’s reputation for stunning beaches, warm hospitality, and incredible all-inclusive resorts made it an easy choice for our honeymoon. We wanted a location where we could truly unwind, enjoy luxurious amenities, and experience a new culture together—and the Dominican Republic exceeded all our expectations.
I traveled to Marrakech for the second time, as Morocco is a country I really enjoy visiting. This time, I came with my boyfriend, which made the trip even more special. We chose this for the beautiful mountains and scenery as well as generally mild weather in March. The trip was technically 5 days but 2 of those were nearly exclusively travel days across the country.
