Cherish Tours Spring Trip to Moab 2025
I previously traveled with Cherish Tours to Tanzania and was so impressed with that experience, that I knew it was only a matter of time until my next trip with them. The Moab itinerary was a blend of adventure and cozy comforts. I really wanted some “down time” on this trip, and the thought of disconnecting from the world for a while through a glamping experience was intriguing. Also, I really like the idea of traveling with a group of women supporting fellow women owned businesses. It is travel with a purpose for which I am passionate.
Trip Recap
- Day 1: Enjoyed glamping in Canyonlands with delicious food and stunning sunset views.
- Day 2: Enjoyed a stunning sunrise, a rewarding hike, and cozy campfire memories!
- Day 3: I had an amazing day of yoga, journaling, hiking, and painting!
- Day 4: Loved our extra day in Moab—highlight was the cowboy dinner cruise!
Highlights
Camping at Glamping Canyonlands was a highlight. I can’t wait to go back!
Watching the sunrises and sunsets as well as the vast stars at night was a memorable experience.
Moab has a great “vibe”. I loved spending time there.
Sitting around the campfire hearing other women’s personal stories created a heartfelt experience and fostered new friendships!
Seeing a couple working hard together building their dream “off-grid” glamping experience in such a remote/beautiful area and learning all they go through to create such a magical experience for others was very interesting and appreciated!
Day 1
Arrived with my traveling buddy in Salt Lake City. We arranged to rent a car ahead of time, picked it up, and took off for our glamping experience with Glamping Canyonlands. This is where we met our fellow women travelers enjoying a wonderful dinner prepared by the hosts. After a long day of traveling, it was fantastic to retreat to our individual tents to take in an incredible sunset. The glamping tents were well appointed, comfortable, and private. Everything I could have needed was provided.
Day 2
Woke up to an early breakfast and a prearranged prepared lunch for our guided hike to Delicate Arch in Arches National Park. The sunrise outside of my tent was beautiful. I also was visited by some nearby cows. To my surprise, I also saw (and heard) a coyote in the distance. What a great way to start the day. We had a blast in the park, and while I took longer than others to accomplish the hike, the guide was encouraging and my sense of accomplishment was great once I achieved the top! We finished our day chilling out by the campfire with a delicious meal and s’mores. Very memorable.
Day 3
Chose to start the day with a yoga “on the prairie”. It was fun and very relaxing. Spent the day doing some journaling and hiking around the camp and ended the day with a nice dinner and acrylic painting experience with my fellow travelers. So much fun! Feeling like I really don’t want to leave this place!
Day 4
Time to say our goodbyes, but my friend and I decided to spend an extra day in Moab before traveling back to Salt Lake City for our flight home. We visited the Newspaper Rock State Historical Monument, and we enjoyed a cowboy dinner cruise with the Canyonlands by Night Dinner & Light Show. This was a fun and eventful evening. Highly recommend it! In Salt Lake City, we stopped by the Family Search Library to check out their genealogy services. Will definitely spend more time there the next time I am in the area.

If I were to do it again, I think it would have been fun to fly in a day early to Salt Lake City and spend some time exploring there before beginning my Cherish trip. Although, I now have a reason to go back to Salt Lake City!
